Get to Know Gabe
Hi. I’m Gabriel Rischall. But you can call me Mr. Gabe. I’m a licensed clinical social worker, registered play therapist, and certified nature and forest therapy guide.
I am someone who truly cares about children and enjoys helping them reach their goals. I believe everyone has the capacity to grow. I also believe growth can not be manipulated or coerced, rather true growth is nurtured. I have over thirteen years of experience working with children and families in Tucson, and eight years of direct therapy practice.
When children come to see me, I welcome them into my judgment-free space, help them feel comfortable, and treat them like the unique individuals they are. I use a client-centered approach and strengths-based perspective, and help foster a growth mindset, so your child can identify and use their strengths to navigate life transitions and overcome difficulties. Whether your child has a need for connection, insight, growth, validation, or wants to learn some coping tools, I work to ensure whatever needs come up in session are met, and your child feels empowered to handle hard things. I incorporate a variety of modalities into treatment, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems therapy, and play therapy, tailoring my approach to your child’s situation.
My genuineness and authenticity shine through in the office/playroom, where I cultivate a fun and enjoyable atmosphere. When difficult experiences come up, I address them in a sensitive, lighthearted way so clients continue to feel safe while working through challenges.
I especially enjoy working with neurodiverse clients, children experiencing major life transitions, anxiety or depression. Whether your child is shy or defiant, I can support their learning and growth. If you want to build a stronger relationship with your child, or help nurture greater independence and your child’s unique individuality, we can work together as a team to help meet your goals.
I know from my years of experience working with clients that growth is possible even when it feels like it’s not. If you are ready to help your child thrive, give me a call.
